Ideology preventing war suggestion and ships ignoring borders

It would be very helpful in the diplomacy screen to see how many turns are left, due to ideology, a civilization is free from declarations of war.

It would also be good to see our faction's ships restricted from entering a faction's borders that we do not have an open border agreement with. As well it would be good for the AI to be much less likely to send their ships into opposing borders. Right now ships cross borders without problems. The only negative reflected in diplomatic relations which seems to change nothing in the game between factions.

I disagree with this suggestion, as if I'm invading your space, I'm going to cross over your borders, or even setting up for war...

With that being said I think their should be a way to set your ships to avoid other races borders to remain on good terms with races, right now without the open borders treaty it hurts your relationship with other races.

I'm not talking about preventing it completely. I'm talking about all these single ships moving through space. Mostly scouts and survey ships. They move all over the place within other factions borders. They AI seems to auto explore the same way a player's ships do. So all these ships flying through various factions borders. The only way to get rid of them is to destroy them. So everybody goes to war with everybody. Unless a faction is weak and in fear of another faction they're not going to want to allow scout/survey ships with their borders. Also if you are at war with a faction and are destroying their scouts in your borders the AI just keeps sending single ones to be blown up. Most of the factions' personality/characteristics are not to send suicide missions for very little data on enemy fleets/planets/etc.

One faction should be able to move into another factions territory, but not all these little ships set to auto explore. Or have the option for auto-exploring/surveying ships to stay in borders for the player. For the AI as well if it fits with their characteristics.

I am not bothered by it so much. If I find a surveyor or a colony ship in my ZOC I immediately try to buy it or trade for it.

The going rate for a surveyor is about 1000 bc, and a colony ship is about 6-700. If you can afford it the surveyor will repay you many times over in the course of the game. I think the colony ship is a bargain by giving you the ship and more importantly 2.5 billion in population and one less SI planet.

Neverminding that, I can see your point and it would be fine with me if they set the limits you want. However, I doubt they will, since the borders policy has been constant throughout the game series. As for what the AI gains from all their violation of your ZOC, I could be wrong but I doubt they get much in the way of tactical advantage.
