Unable to Access the Internet...

...after Running Gal Civ III

I'm not sure why; but once I launch Gal Civ III my access to the internet ceases to be available when I close the game and try to open any web page.

I have to shut my laptop off and turn it back on in order to regain access.

What's up with that?

When the game is up for me I can`t surf the net or steam. If I need to I have to shut down the game make sure it out of the task manager and then i`m able to surf again.

I only have 5GB of Ram I wonder if this might be part of it ??

Don't think this has anything to do with the game, there may be something else on your computer that's causing this.  I frequently will be using the Internet during the game as the game makes it very easy to do so with multi-monitor systems.  Never had any problems...

Not exactly sure what you're trying to say here, I think you said you don't have that issue, but the second part of the sentence makes it appear you do?

Otherwise how I read it is that your game continues to run after you close it, which is a common issue, nothing to do with your 5 GB of memory as I have 16 GB of memory and it does the same thing.

I don't have a problem accessing the internet while the game is up and running; as I'm in the game right now.  It's after I close the game down and then attempt to use the internet that's the issue.  I'm not sure how that can NOT be related to the game; as something is still running that would seem to be tied to the game.  It could be a Steam issue; as I know it tries to sync to the cloud and (since I'm not using the cloud) Steam reports an error.  Even so, that's still a GC3 issue; as playing the game requires Steam...

In addition, except in cases like now, the only thing I have running is the game (and Steam {of course}); as I don't currently have the luxury of a second screen.

Sorry I miss understood what you were saying, maybe it's the steam sync issue, I'm not sure, I've had no problems with this other than the game continues to run after exit, however, I am still able to use the Internet.

As long as the game is up  my surfing the net or trying to load steam forums are next to impossible. I don`t know if it`s because the game is using  almost all my ram or what and Yes I know the game does hang up the task manager sometimes. If I want to look at a screenshot I have to close the game down in order for it to load either in the steam client or browser.
