  • Related to the previous point, eventually the diplomacy screen just started crashing constantly... Ticket: #BHJ-956-51746
  • Battle veiwer seems to be firing randomly all over the place, also causing impact in mid space or firing from no where...  Ticket: #XAL-790-98587

Okay I know they just released the full beta patch 2 with same version number [0.82.4.0] however, per Derek there were some changes which I'll start a new game fresh in a bit.  Here are a few more issues I've found this morning...

  • Using the Thalan homeworld, which is suppose to be class 16, is showing up as class 15 sometimes for the custom races.

  • Game is running okay, however, near turn 100 on an insane galaxy, 36 major races plus all minors...  Ticket: #MNI-810-44935
    • Game is now taking 2 min 30 seconds approx per turn.
    • Game has crossed 9.2 GB in memory being used.
  • Game seems to have issues as you get more and more custom races, I have a second Terran Alliance faction in my game listed as (New Race) with DL Bradley as the leader.
    • I double checked my races by going back into creating a new game and there is no second race using the Terran Alliance logo or leader...  (I do have one using an upside down logo with different background, with different names for race and leader.)
    • Icon's/pictures of races don't always match the races in question in the diplomacy screen, however, I could not reproduce the error or see what was the cause.

I was playing a 100 player game over the weekend and passed some saves to Brad and the dev team to check out (to investigate perf time). The got the time between turns down from 92 seconds to 30 seconds the last time we measured. We continue to make adjustments, so those stats should continue to improve. You will see a list of perf improvements in patch 3 for exactly this reason.

Most of these perf improvements make the game faster and smoother even on normal small maps, so its a win even if you aren't playing at a ridiculous scale.

Here are a few more issues...  However, let's start positive :)

  • Here is a cluster of planets, class 25, 21, 19 no upgrades, this is how they were generated.

  • Purchase cost for ship does not decrease the further along the production process it is.  See pictures below...  Both are full price...

  • Another issue, is the game is still not closing on exit, need to force close by killing the process, this time, it killed Windows Explorer in the process as well... :(
  • The last one I've noticed this evening was the victory screen shows I lost a ship (which I did) but on the left hand column it does not show the lost ship.

 I think it is just a display issue... If I'm not mistaken, the smaller cost is deducted. I can double check later and update this reply.
