Cinemtic battle recorder?

Hey, just a meandering query here.  Would it be possible to create a mod to record the cinematic battle camera?  Some of the fleets I'm creating are some tight maneuvers, and I wonder if in addition to posting screenshots of custom ships actual battle footage would be even cooler?  Well, okay, I KNOW it'd be cooler, I'm not sure if it could be done. Thanks!

It would be a nice feature.  It would also be nice to have a time slider when you watch a reply so you can skip to parts you want to see.  Oh, and the free camera...something needs to be done about it.  It is terrible.

Jing is free and can capture short videos, is that the kind of thing you're asking for?

The free version is limited to 5 minute videos, but that ought to be plenty for GC3 battles, I would think.
