AI Trade offer causing game crash

When I sent a freighter towards a Drengin planet, the Drengin responded by making a trade offer.  They offered to give me a starbase mining anti-matter for no apparent reason.

If I accept their offer, the game crashes.  

I purchased all trade goods from the different AI, thinking this would make my trade routes more lucrative however I couldn't verify this because opening a trade route leads to the trade offer and game crash.

A lot has changed with the game's appearance notably the ressources in the game it's shaping up nicely.

The AI behavior also seemed strange to me.   A minor race demanding a tribute when they didn't have the military to impose it and the Drengin demanding I give them a tech when I had colonized or conquered most of the worlds in the game except those belonging to the Drengin.

If the trade offer was a gift (there's nothing on your side of the trade) then this is a problem that was already reported and supposedly fixed in Beta 5 patch 1 released last Thursday.  If you're not running with that patch, see this post for instructions on how to opt-in to it, along with a list of fixes.

I've encountered a similar problem (and I am running the Opt-In):

A minor race wanted a commerce tech from me; but I declined to just give it to them.  So, I go into diplomacy and trade that tech and "Soil Improvement" for a defense tech and a constructor.  All goes well; they like and accept the deal and "wallah" I have a constructor right where I need it.

Oh, except for one major problem: I click on the constructor and the game crashes to the desk top.

It's bad enough that every time I quit playing I have to power my laptop down and back up in order to use the internet; but now I can't make that deal that would've been perfect for that point in time.

It's not just a fluke either; as I have an auto save that occurred right before that turn.  Reloading and trying the same thing again ends up with the same results; although I can move all my other ships first and such.  Clicking on that Constructor though ends the game!

If you receive a trade window and it appears as though one side is not giving anything hit the back button to avoid a crash. Also worth noting I have not encountered this issue since installing the opt in.
