Last I heard, they were supposed to be present in their nearly-full glory this build, but I haven't yet seen a screenshot of one. Can anybody deliver?
Because of the bug where the game crashes when a minor race offers you a gift, I haven't been able to try one out yet.
Yea, I've been invaded.
However, there's a bug where the results are backwards. That is, when I lose my colony the text says I won.
If you are offered a trade and don't see your side as giving anything click the back button. I have also experienced invasions both giving and taking. Frogboy is correct. If you are invaded it reads as if your the invader. When you invade it also reads as your the invader.. which is correct in that case 
Yeah I invaded a minor race and was surprised to see an extremely complex looking battle log as it was fought!
On the left was the planet and hexes turning different colours as things happened.
On the right was the log, saying what happened where - I didn't have a clue what it all meant lol
Anyways, I had 3mil fighting his 14mil and I closely won after choosing bio warfare.

Did you hear sounds of laser fire, screaming, etc., in the background as the colors change? I was hoping something more MOO2 ish. My ideal would be watching your species use some of your tech against the others, MOO2 style. Oh well.
