Drengin sueing for peace freezes the game

I started a two player game vs the AI and went to war with the Drengin, after killing all their ships Lord Kona asks me to "Let Bygones be Bygones." I reply with "Die" or something similar and the game then tells me to wait and even after a save and reloading it still makes me wait. The wait button doesn't change and I can no longer proceed with the game.

It sounds like you have hit an end game bug. With your only opponent dead, the game should give you a conquest victory. Stardock will want you to collect debugging data via their SDSupportTool and to send it in with a ticket. See the pinned post "CalCiv III Support FAQ" for instructions.
