After looking over the changelog I want all the traits..hehe.
Malevolent now looks good and Benevolent looks way over powered.

Play the biggest Maps you can have them all
yea I know. I really want to play on the next two sizes of maps but my fear is that they are 'so large' that Beta 6 will be released by the time I meet the first empire.
I will start a new game on Immense though. We will really really need minor races, pirates and the rest of the primary races to keep pace on those map sizes.
I just hope that there are more merciless options for colonization events. in 0.61, the options for benevolent/pragmatic are usually a tossup as to which is better while the merciless is usually in the kick the dog end of the scale with no real benefit compared to the opportunity costs of not choosing the others... but there is really no EvilInc, horrifying AboveGoodAndEvil, BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork, or any other sort of evil trope/subtrope

so on & so forth, there is just not really any options that don't ascribe to different morality/ethical systems often leading to comical events like those involving cruelty to animals or infectious diseases & the synthtic yor and other nonsensical combinations with the warlike drengin, religious ultra-religious krynn, or beyond Randian Iridium
I'm hoping they give us the ability to make race specific colonization events akin to the race specific tech trees, even if they are litterally just copies of the same event files left to modders to take advantage of later
I still hope no ideology gets needed I will probably play all three race specific kinda like the idea, because some events are race specific, and some aren't maybe there should be a chance for both.
Some choices just don't make sense for races like the Yor. What do they care about food, disease or ghosts? They might have problems with earthquakes or radiation, but otherwise, they are machines. Same with planets. What the heck do machines care about happiness or culture? They shouldn't even come into the process for a race like the Yor.
So far, Malicious seems op for the Yor, double military production on my home world? The world that I specialize as all manufacturing already to begin with? Yes please!
