Game progress stuck at Idle Colony

While playing, I have a colony that has completed the buildings in its queue. It does have 2 open tiles I am saving for projects to come. I am however, unable to progress to the next turn. It keeps pointing to my idle colony and will not let me skip it as I can with a idle ship and complete my turn. This has me stuck and unable to continue playing. How can I move to the next turn with an idle colony? Why are we being force to address every colony, ship, station for activity before continuing our turn?

Use one of the projects, like Economic Stimulus.

Thanks Rhonin, but how do I do that?

Double click on the project.  It will be added to the build queue with an indefinite end.  If you later double click on a building for one of your empty tiles, it will be put in front of the project.  That part is slick.

End of leebo69's quote

In the planet screen, the same place where the improvements are, there is even a filter just for projects.

Very cool, thanks guys.

I assume that if a project says N/A that means I have not researched the right tech to support it?

The project says N/A because it's ongoing w/ no end date, it will continue until you choose something else from the projects or something w/ a time limit which will auto fill and get worked prior to the project.

Thanks guys. I have the same problem. Stuck on "idle colony" when all the tiles are developed.

Next time I open the game, I will see if I can use your solution.

teh projects while still available are not the best solution to this problem your better bet would be to go into the govern screen and either adjust your social/military manufacturing to 100% military if you have a shipyard attached to planet

or adjust the economic wheel of that planet to have 0% manufacturing
