i diddent see a post about round 2 starting and considering how few votes there are compared to round 1 i think some people missed it

it is actually matchup 2 in round 1 (see the initial posting Win $1,000 in the GalCiv III Ship Designer Contest!). But you are right, there should have been a posting to inform the forum visitors of that.

I don't think it being the weekend helped matters
with Thanks Given being on Thursday this was not the best week for this.
Why should the weekend make any difference? Are people voting at work? Bad people.
