Outpost doesn't always attack enemy unit

I usually set up outpost right next to a shard. I would expect that when an enemy unit approaches, or attacks a shard, the outpost would attack the unit. This doesn't always seem to happen.

I thought I noticed that happening too, but had convinced myself that I was just not paying attention.

Could it be that the Outpost actually IS attacking the enemy units but for some reason the animation is not happening all the time?

Have you upgraded the outpost?

Shouldn't an outpost have a base attack without an upgrade?

I don't know if they should or should not.  I've always found that I need to upgrade the outposts for them to deal damage.

ASAIK, outposts have a base attack of 1. When you upgrade them to attack 1 they get a base attack of 4. Attack 2 is 8 and attack 3 is 16.

Thanks! So, a basic outpost DOES have the ability to inflict damage! :)

I stand by my OP!

Damage is only inflicted after the enemy unit ENDS a turn inside the outpost borders.

Still no damage?
