So I also play the MMO, Star Wars the Old Republic. I am currently playing that and got news we are going to get a large expac that raises our lvl cap to 60 and a complete NGE to our game via changes to our talents. 

 

Looking forward to that and really looking forward to next week (Diplomacy)!! Between the new expac in SWtoR and Gal civ III I am rather busy with my free time.

I'm, um ... getting work done.  I wrote a draft.  I watered a plant.  I watched a total lunar eclipse (and saw Uranus as a small blue-green disk in my 12.5").  I cloned my vorpalized HD (you hear a high-pitched whine) onto an SSD, thereby rescuing my GC3 Excel macros.  I will soon buy into the Sorcerer King early access deal for -15%.

Beta 1 reports and complaints of all sorts seem to have tapered off.  We're all saving up time blocks for the Age of 2 :grin:

I used to play SWTOR, and occasionally login to see what's going on.  I just saw briefly the new expansion, but I need to read more about it.

Yes, I, too, am waiting around for Beta 2. It would be nice to hear teasers about when  (tentatively) it will be delivered. I.e., "We are now shooting for Oct 9." "Ops. we had a problem and are now shooting for Oct. 16."

Of course, the groans would be entertaining, but it would be certain from them that we really do care about the efforts and care you are putting into GC3.

Swtor is a great MMO actually. With all the updates and content added since launch its actually my primary game. I play about 2-3 hours a night and 6-8 hours on weekends doing Ops and such with friends. Now everyone is scrambling to lvl up alts since they are giving 12x exp for preorders on the expac. 

 

However, I  and always will love GC II and III and I am an avid support of Stardock.  

 

Been dabbling a bit with DW Universe. I play occasionally but really when Diplomo hits Ill be engrossed in that for a while..

 

Is there an ETA on maps LARGER than what is availble to us now? (Huge or Xlarge)?

SW:TOR was fun when I played it. I have not yet gone back since it became free to play. The leveling campaign was a blast and reminded me of KOTOR and other Bioware games. The PVP battle grounds were fun, the first few times. The crafting and gameplay elements were good. 

 

My only complaints were really that it was yet another MMO and the end game wasn't really fleshed out. It was another sub fee, which I know is fixed. Lastly, it felt too much like WoW : Burning Crusade. It was missing many of the quality of life features that most other MMOs had at time. 

I haven't gone back to play it though since the second Golden Age of PC Strategy Games started.
