I am far too lazy to actually post in the correct forums and also trying to pretend that I am actually working by typing on my keyboard.
With that said......
Is Star Control II going to be Real time strategy or will it be Turn based?
Was Starcon 2 even 4x? I don't recall much of that one. I remember Starcon 3 having a campaign mode, but it was more along the lines of exploring the galaxy in a precursor ship. Of course all three games had real time arcade style fights, but I only remember the first one having a turn-based war game aspect.

What do you mean by "going to be", it was released in 1992.
Surely you are asking about the new planned Star Control games. One which will have the plot set between Star Control 1 and 2, and even later another game that would be a continuation of Star Control 2(not Star Control 3). The former might be something like 4x, we don't really know.
