0.42 BETA Feedback

Finally have a moment or 3 to get a bit into the beta - I'll edit/update this list as I find things..

 

1) - Playing Iridium Corp. when meeting the Drengin they say "thanks for the hyperdrive"  -- should this comment only be for the Terrans?

2) - On the planetary management screen - mousing over the "buy" button, the popup says "Requires XXX BC, Income XXX BC" ... it shouldn't say "income" rather it should say "available" or something similar.

3) - is crashing when trying to construct a starbase a known issue?  If not, I have a savegame that I can send that will reproduce a crash on "command - build starbase"

 

 

Like I said, I'll update as I see little odds and ends - fun game so far.  Keep up the good work,

In this beta, I crash also on the starbase build - every time now.  This did not happen in the old .41

I am not so lucky -- 1st 0.42 game (Terran, large, vs 3 Godlike), I've built 3 starbases w/o problems.  What races are you playing?

I'm playing Terrran and am on turn 661 and have built many starbases without any problems.

 

I have had invisible tile objects that were built by other civs that I found once I captured their planet:

well, I just posted a bug report on the starbase crash. With the Iridium I can get it to happen in a new game on turn 2. (Rush build constructor then construct starbase... boom!)

 

I tried all the other races (including Drengi) and was able to build the starbase on turn #2. So for me, at least, it's just the Iridium who cannot build starbases.

Iridium here too - turn maybe 150 or so?  1st attempted starbase, so I haven't gotten any to be built without crashing.

Yes, confirmed. As Iridian, building my first starbase causes the game to crash each and every time. Really bummed, too, as I finally lucked out and had (large map, tight clusters, occasional planets) lots of high scoring planets all in my close proximity, found 3 fighters very early on, everything was going my way...

I had problems with the Iridium Corporation as well. When I had problems building a starbase, I tried just everything I could think of to make it work (even some things shouldn't have an effect). Nothing worked.

After all my testing, I'm very sure it is broken.

*Hi There I Have Found When i was in Singal player i double clicked my Planet and The Game Crashed on me.

Extra ideas:

1:Add a Family Tree where lords or leader what ever u wana call them lol Can have kids as the lords  could grow old and die but gain serten skills they could Train there son or girl in.Why add Family tree you mite ask? Well it could be a sign of peace towards  a other race or you want that races benfits with yours etc.

 

2:Custom Races:Make it where the players can make a custom race with serten skill ponits to spread out when making the race with different  animated photos which the player will choice the prime class or race.

 

3:Marrying:I Think it be kinda kool if races could marry off there kides or sons in which the females would go and   join the other  race and the sons would stay with there own race.There  could be big things to add to this i just cant think of any but peace,favor from that race you  choice to try n due so.

 

4:Extra Diplomat  choices: 1

1:Give Planets to others-Benefit peace or favor

2:Ask or Demand they become slaves of your race in which then you can  train there type of units and yours  if they choice to become a slave And they give you serten amount of money etc.

3:Try and kill there leader  n this is if you  choice to take my area about Family Tree's

4:Talk to there  sons,girls if they have kides n this once more is if u choice to have Family Trees in which you can talk to them and try n make them evil or good n backstab there father or mom in which this could have add ons alot of them if you think hard.

 

5:Planet Battles:I Think having  ground battles where you can  build or have your base where you can train units to defend or attack races planets on the ground,air.

 

6:Super power ships:Where they can destory planets etc with a cool down count down type deal like if  a leader refuses to give up there planet you could destroy them  or that planet.And mix it up for different races.
