Not really bugs.

 

I just can't get to grips with the new Ship Designer.  There doesn't seem to be any tech which improves miniturization significantly, all pre-designed ships seem already maxed out to capacity; perhaps this is why the Hard-points don't seem to work for me.  Even when trying to design a vessel from scratch.

I haven't been able to delete a planetary sponsor from a shipyard; I wanted to give Mars a separate shipyard so that Mars could use some of its large population for Colonizers [and later Transports].  In the Early game I needed its production conjoined with Earth's production but after Terraforming and building farms the population just took off.

Yea I think "miniaturization" right now is loop sided and unclear. I've said before that I think it's too little, but now I think that with all the various specialization techs I don't really know what percent in getting for each hull. Maybe having a easy to understand set of techs like galciv2.

Personally I think the bonuses should total 50-100% in the end as its a good number.

there a hyperion shrinker project that will increase it, not by a lot, huge goes from 255 to 270+.  If you would like one on one help with the designer I'd be willing to help you. I have over 200 hours in the designer.  just pm me.

Thanks for the support guys.  May take you up on that Edlander but not just yet okay.  Thanks for correcting my spelling mistake Darca [NO sarcasm intended], and in the same enlightenment mode the phrase is "Lop-sided" meaning asymetric or biased.

Disregarding the 0.41.2 bug that all Hyperions seem to have no effect ... what if you give them +Military levels from adjacency and tile bonuses?  Is their +10% based on Military level?  Then:

  • +3 Military: Deep Caverns hex
  • +4 Military: adjacent to a Slave Pit
  • +5 Military: other adjacencies

Do you get a Hyperion with 12 levels and +70% supply/capacity/hp?  :omg:  I'd play Drengin just to get that

There isn't a single miniaturization tech line anymore. Instead, each part can be miniaturized through its specializations. Additionally, there is + capacity on the hulls tech line, which is essentially miniaturization, just in reverse.

I noticed that tiny hulls don't get a bonus to hp but they get a 20%-30% increase when playing as the terrans (I think it comes from the small hulls miniaturization tech but it doesn't say.). Tinys start at 5 hp and they are now at 6-6.5 in my game.

What's the total amount per hull and part vs galciv2! We shouldn't be moving backwards and it shouldn't be so complicated.
