Can't Find Battles

When there is alien contact somewhere in the galaxy I get the message about okaying the battle. The problem is the game doesn't take me to the battle automatically so I don't where it is on map. Is this an error? Are you going to correct in a later patch? If it isn't an error, then you should try to direct the player to the battle.

It is a known issue combqt is getting an overhaul in beta 3 but i think they were hoping to give the prompt a minor fix

Confirm battle really needs a major fix.  I can't tell where they occur at all.  When "confirm battle?" comes up, it has to zoom us to where the battle is.  I've lost planets without even realizing I had lost them.  That is a major oversight that really, really needs to be corrected.

Agreed. Short of a fix, there needs to be an option just to turn off combat. As it is right now, it's grossly unfair to the AI and makes it challenging to test other aspects of the game with AI difficulty cranked up.

In the last dev video even the devs said it was a major issue that will soon be corrected. Unfortunately it may not be until the major update in October.

If you keep you map backed out as much as possible, you should be able to see enemy ships approaching. You can mouse over them to see what's there. Try to keep an eye on those areas as the turns change. Then you should at least know where the combat occurred.

On large or larger maps and mid to late game this is a big problem. I know it was irritating Paul as well, (since he LOST EARTH!!) and will be fixed either NOW or with the Diplomacy update.

I have had 3 battles occur an had to go back and look at every inch of the map to figure out what was attacked and where.
