Mapcreation

Starmapcreation is as "useless" as in GalCivII

There are 6 starsystems close to my homeworld, and not one habitable planet. Then I came across a corner of the galaxy, where 9 out of 10 planets are 20+.

FIrst I thought "bad luck", but I had already 20 games like this. Not funny, it reminds me of GalCivII where I never played with a random map, but always created one with a tool.

Mind, number of planets is on "abundtant", number of habitable planets as well.

This have to be improved before release.

I've had fine luck with both 2 and 3, but obviously there is something wrong if you can set it to  "abundant" and still get nothing close to your home world at all.  I think tweaking this is on the to do list, I've seen a complaint about this elsewhere.

I have no problems, however I always use the largest map you can have with habitable planets and resources set to abundant.  Everything else is set on common or lower especially Black-Holes on rare.  I would prefer that the lowest planet rating was 10 apart from the uninhabitable ones.  For galaxy type I never choose random and always seem to obtain a decent starscape with the setting on either scattered or spiral.
