overlapping ideology trees

Will the trees overlap some at the end of the tree.

I am thinking of one one starts in one tree at the last 2 levels they would be able to do some of the adjacent tree.

ie. start on war but twords the end go to the mid tree some.

Then what is the point of having separate trees ?  I am assuming that you can travel down more than 1 Ideology tree because the random event from space-junk provides ideology points to any of the ideologies not just one.

But is this actually going to be possible? The trees are separate and requires you to get a previous perk from the same tree, not one from another.*
