Ship sizes (Urgent)

Hello all,

I am well aware that we don't seem to have proper ship sizes for the starships of this game, but I do remember and ages old thread discussing it, and how they might have the sizes worked out. (And I failed to find it)

The reason this is 'urgent' is because this game has been invited to join this:

this magnificent artist has crafted a chart of (what I would call) sheer awesome, and well if someone gets ahold of official/realistic sizes, Sins of a Solar Empire will be yet another mark on the canvas!

So, what do we have oh grand community?

The best size determining factor would be windows or fighters assuming we're being "realistic"

Regrettably, that still leaves huge variation as the Jarrasul would be miles long while the Akkan is roughly cruise liner sized.


Edit: cinematic model size is probably best.

We have no official numbers on the size of ships. We have their crew sizes in the manual, and the devs have confirmed in forum posts that titans are a measured in kilometers, but we don't have the specifics.

I think some things may be arbitrarily scaled for "ease of sight", too.  Goa, I think you pointed out somewhere that Corvettes are listed to have crew size 10, while LFs are 100+... yet the two ships are roughly equal in size.

Yup. The sizes of ships decks (based on the little windows on the sides) are also rather inconsistent, suggesting the ships were textured to look good and not represent any particular scale.
