Tooltips on improvment tiles on planets unclear.

Just a small thing that annoys me is the tool tips for the tile improvements are vague and not clear on what to place on or near them.

 

The language is silly.

 

+2 to influence impartments? WTF is an impartment?

 

+3 to influence

(with)

+2 to on or near adjacent tourism

 

So please call all planet buildings "improvements", not impartments, centers or some such name. It is not clear what I should put there.

 

Tourism? What the hell is that? Will a market center give me tourism? Nope, I see in the middle tree there is a 'Unlocks tourism +1'. Ok what synergies with that?

 

In closing the tooltips are not very clear on what to place or how many things synergise. It was not clear what an ancient ruin does or how to capitalize on it. Do I put a research center on it or near it? Do I put a trade center on it and a research center near it?

 

Most of you earlier alphas figured this stuff out, so tell me and I will learn.

Most of that stuff is place holder and has little to no meaning currently.

Ryat is correct, but I do think fixing this (as well as the icons) is the FIRST priority when prepping for the actual beta release.

That is, we're still well into alpha mode, figuring out features and stuff, but as soon as that's done and there's serious efforts to stabilize for the beta, this is going to have to get fixed ASAP.

Because, I can *guaranty* that it'll be at the top of the bitch list for the Beta people, since it does actually interfere with gameplay in the current form.

 

That is, I think it's a P1 bug, but not to be addressed until Beta.

I just watched the dev stream. They mentioned most of the bonuses are hard to read and will be fixed to be more clear, AND we get LARGE maps.
