Silly question but has anyone done Stargate style alien ships yet? Either the humans, ancients or Go'auld?

I'm not exactly certain what your issue is precisely, but in general I can tell you that I avoid using the symmetry commands entirely.

Why?

A.) They mess up animations often

B.) They don't show up when I make a grouped part out of the model

C.) Because I'm crazy.

 

So yeah, I place another copy of the part and I agonizingly ensure that I duplicate the measurements and placement figures. Annnnnd then I get annoyed when 2.1 on one side isn't the exact same as 2.1 on the other lol.

Yeah exactly right. So frustrating. Its not like you can even put the opposite angles and sizes because half the time it doesn't work. Argh! : ) I still enjoy making ships nonetheless.

So basically you guys will at some point be able to put these up on steam for everyone to use along with other mods?  Is that how its going to work for GC 3?  If so, cant wait...wait...will we have to then pay for them like Ive heard people now have to do for Skyrim?  NOt that im against that, nor do i want to debate it here, just curious if anyone knows.

You might have to wait for a short while, Workshop support comes in the first (major) patch after release.

Paid modding was removed by Valve. So ships will be free. Right now you can share designs by dropping player created designs into the design folder.

That looks great. A cute little cockpit in between two massive wings. It gives me the idea of it trying to catch something and it doesn't matter if it's on the top or the bottom.

i created as I teched, and i got deep into shield defense and tried to represent it.

Maybe I should just remove it... or put more of it... or have something that represents it better.
