Sooo... if it is not running up you are going to give the first reply a graphics card :)

I'm excited to see the ship-designer in action. Would like to know if you are shipping the worm thingie that was created with the ship edtior to only the founders ;)

Not sure if You`ll look at the other post so here are my Questions again.

 

Blinking lights I want blinking Lights,... Seriously can they be added it`s cool to see a ship with a blinking light here and there??!!

also will we be able to mod the mine bases and maybe even Starbases??? also how hard is it going to be to add ships form PS4,blender or

other 3D computer graphics software??? will any ship Mesh ,...be able to work???

Question: Would the ship designer be able to design our own space stations? (or will we have to play with the xml files or something to change the look of the space stations?) Also, when the ship designer is available, will this be integrated with the steam workshop, that is will I be able to create a ship or collection for a race and post this on the steam workshop as a mod for others to download?

Question: Will you hold a ship design party where we submit some of our best designs to be selected as possible anamoly ships, kind of a special nod to the players who like the ship editor?

Question: Upgrading ships. Adding components / modules will they automatically upgrade on their own or will we have to make slight variations of all designs to keep ourselves up to date with upgrade options.

Question: What is the limit of things to attach to a ship, when creating such a ship?

Question: Since this is an alpha version of the ship editor, will there be other features not implemented in this version that the final version will have. You know the ability for Drengin to tie Torians to the front of their ships like stuffed animals....

Completely unreasonable request... Could you allow us to set up two modes for a ship, an attack mode vs. a travel mode. Think Starwars and locking the ships into battle positions. On the topic will we be able to put lights on the ship that rotate and effectively allow us to create a disco ball death-star?

Reposting my questions from the other thread.

While going through the game-files, I've noticed that there is a OnePerShip-tag. However, what if I want to limit the module by a different amount, like, for example, two Hyperdrive engines or four Doom Rays? Will that be possible?

In GalCiv 2, modules could only have one Category (e.g., Beam, MD, Armor, etc.). This made certain ideas impossible to implement. For example, I wanted to change the Arnorian Battle Armor to increase both the armour and HP of ships. Will GalCiv 3 be more open in that regard?

The Stellar Folder is most likely going to be Terran-only again. However, what about some of the other advanced ship-components shown in the files? Will some of them be limited to specific races too?

Very beautiful guys.

The symmetry planes are very useful. Is there going to be a button that turns the symmetry off without deleting the newly created parts? This would allow the user to quickly create a symmetrical object and then asymmetrically modify it.

 

Are there any plans to have a tool that creates connectors between parts, ie straight sheets of metal?

 

The oscillate tool is somewhat interesting, but it looks like it is really hard to control.

I like the oscillate tool, as it allows me to build moving pipes up and down to look like an engine. It can be difficult as all animation stuff can be.
