Required Resources for Building

I had another great idea, you require certain resources to build certain things, like ship weapons or maybe even armor for the ship. Certain resources are found on asteroids, in particular sectors of space(exotic particles), on planets, or even on the sun.
I think this would truly add another dimension to the strategic play of Galactic Civ III.

I also think the introduction of strategic resources (i.e. if you have resource X, you get access to using component Y on your ships) could be pretty amazing in what people choose to fight about.

Well in that case this game is going to be awesome. Glad I purchased the founders edition.
