How do you invade other planets

I can't figure out how to invade other planets. I have defeated their fleet adjacent to the planet. How do I land troops? I have researched Planetary Invasion.

Create a transport

Put pepole into them (similar to how you do with colony ship)

Move transport to target planet

invade

Pretty much it. You might need to research the Planetary Invasion first before you can build a transport. :)

Yes obviously there will be more to invasions in the final game though you will still initiate them in the same way.  But that is it for the current early alpha version.

Naturally I figured it out about 10 minutes after posting. I hadn't seen Transports as a build option earlier. Thanks!

Yes, I had researched Planetary Invasion as soon as the option came up, but didn't see Transports as a build option right away. Not sure if there are other tech requirements or if I just missed them (quite possible). At any rate, I figured it out not 10 minutes after posting. Doh!

What are all the tech requirements to be able to build Transports? Is it just Planetary Invasion? Thanks!

I think it's only Planetary Invasion. Maybe some propulsion tech. I'll have to check and let you know...
