Some of my thoughts.

I posted this on Steam as Easier Way

Easier Way

[1] First thing on the Hex grid,... when a Starbase or Constructor is click on showing the effected area,,.. glowing in and out might it easier to see.
[2] improvements clicking the tile and then clicking improvements involves 3 or 4 clicks depending on rather the game picks another tile or not if it is a yellow tile that has not been
research that is understandable!! I like to beable to pick an improvement and click on the tiles
I choose to add that improvement to.
[3] Can we have a favorite tab where we can put are most used improvements and ships?? or a profile that can be loaded with each new game that can be added to that maybe a governor can use,.. or a tab that can be click on as we want to use it.???

thanks!!

[1] not sure I understand what you mean here.

[2] I think the UI does need some work in this area, particularly where people can try and build on an unbuildable tile and end up clicking somewhere else. Visually they are addressing some of that, but I think there is room to experiment with how you place buildings your suggestion isn't bag they could also do drag and drop.

[3] I'm not sure a favourites tab would add much but maybe build plans for governers that you can assing to a planet, is it my imagination or did they add those to GC2 in the end.

I think he asks for a way to see the area of effect of your starbases and constructors. You can already see the borders of the AoE in the game, but it's easy to miss. GalCiv 2 was better in that regard, because the whole AoE was distinctly coloured.

Oh I see, in that case then yes I completley agree it isn't really distinct enough at the moment though as you say there is already an indicator.
