PlanetScreen-alpha01-1

Hello everyone,

I like the overall design of the screen, but I don't exactly know what to think about the "proposed improvment". I think it gets to easy, if the player doesn't have to think what he should build on a tile.

Another thing are "basic" and "advanced" improvments. As soon as you have researched the advanced version of an improvment, the basic version should no longer appear in the improvments list.

What do you think about it?

Bye,

As long as there is an option to turn it off like in civ 5 then i'm fine with it. Think of it as a learning tool, "this is what you do in most scenarios" type of thing. Obviously you don't use that selection probably for specializations or advanced strategy.

Edit: that being said I must be blind, I don't see the proposed improvement you mention...

(please ignore everyone but me  lol.)

SD has done good. There is a bit if empty space in the bottom that needs filling, and I have a few suggestions.

1. How do we move improvements around in the queue? I love seeing the pictures btw but we still need some way to see everything we have in the queue. I wouldn't want to have to go back to every planet because I couldn't set every tile to be built.

2. I think numbering improvements might be a nice feature; if little numbers were beside the buildings shown in the hexs WITH a build symbol it might help players organize.

3. A suggested improvement feature would be welcome by me.

4. By the planetary governor button it would be nice to display the research bar so we can see the ETA/(C) (c for completion)

5. I want to be able to manage ships in orbit from the planet screen. There's room for by the old build queue or governor button.

You guys have great concepts and I am happy about testing the changes to come and seeing what works. :)

I disagree, some people might still want to build the older version. I think the upgrades will be more cost effective in GalCiv III than they were in galciv II,  but back in GalCiv II building the older improvements was often the better choice. At least initially.
