[Bug?] Ship Pass removes all movement points

using "Pass" actually seems to remove its movement points for the turn. Should we not be able to change our mind and give it another command until the end of the turn instead? Once you Pass on a ship even selecting again will not let you move it and its movement points go to 0 in the ships list.

That's what pass has always meant in all the GalCiv games.  You can use the tab key to cycle to another ship (or select another ship with the mouse) if you're not sure what you want to do with the current one.

I'd call it a bug... because it bugs me that the ship doesn't move into a guard mode or sentry mode. Something productive. I would even be happy that if the ship is put into those modes that the ship gets increased sensor range.

Seems that 4x have been split in two schools of thought. One where pass means no more points, the other where unit is put to sleep until next turn. I made a thread about this to suggest we switch to the other mode, which Imo is a better gameplay mechanic.

I agree with you. I don't think it makes much sense in a turn-based game that actions points get lost before the actual turn end.
