Non-game related. Limit acces to part of forums?

Well  I replyed on the new vault content. But hesitated because it would spoil its content.

But then i thought that the founder and early acces parts of the forums where 'private' forums for (elite) founders only.

Just to make sure i just logged off.. to my suprise i can see it all...

Ooh well I am up for targetpractice if people feel the need to...

PS why do i get the idea that 'view' counts are multplied by 10?

I'm inclined to agree that the Founders and the Early Access Feedback sub-forums should be restricted to prevent spoilers, but more importantly, to prevent potentially negative impressions from spreading to the rest of the community.  People do, for whatever reason, tend to flippantly ignore the development process and see alphas and betas as some sort of finished product, or as close to finished to justify toxic reactions.  Such toxicity so early in GalCiv 3's development could turn people off who would otherwise show interest in the game closer to release.

Yes I agree that a restricted access part of the forum for alpha and founder vault subjects would be a very good idea.

But you can actually talk about the founder's vault stuff and the alpha. You just cannot quote or distribute the files of the vault. And alpha is just like... a month more? Not worth a restricted area?

That's not why, I just think it might be better for stardock if the alpha where discussed in a forum specificly for alpha testers.

Which you can do here? If Stardock wanted totaly privacy about the alpha, they wouldn't allow videos and yet they allow them (as long as you mention it's an alpha and such). They wouldn't talk about it in the Steam forums (which anyone can read). What is there to hide? If they want to keep something private (like internal alpha/beta builds/discussions), they surely have the means for it.
