Custom Factions

I would actually like to ask for one main thing, maybe it was answered already but I am not sure this is why I would like to ask the question.

In the alpha, will we be able to make our own custom faction, or is it left for later stages?

We're stuck with the Altarians, Drengin, Terrans and Iridium
