Questions? Ask ‘em here. I’d give you the save file for turn one to see if you could beat my time to victory, but a) I’m 100% certain someone could and it’s from an older build and won’t load in the build Elite Founders are getting access to on Thursday.

Also, writing, recording, editing, and cutting your own voiceover is an interesting process. Just sayin’.

I snagged a screenshot of the planet screen.

I like that we are able to play even after we achieve a victory condition.

Haha, I literally just came here to say "don't put too much stock in the planet screen, we're tearing it apart and reworking it pretty much as we speak."

But yeah, don't put too much thought into the planet screen. That one is super bonus awesome for missing the texture that should live behind the hex grid, but otherwise it's pretty much what you'll see on Thursday.

The final planet screen, however, will be much different and better organized in terms of how it presents information to you and lets you interact with it.

Such is the alpha lifestyle.

Cool I got a question if you don't mind.. Do borders work the same way as in GalCIv2? Other factions can colonize the colonized planets inside your border or no?

I'll only say that if my weakling of a videocard cannot handle the game at lowest settings ever, I'm going to cry. Blood.

On a side note, visually it looks really good for a pre-alpha. For a moment, one could forget that it's a work in progress.

Well, it looks nice. The enthusiasm from the person in the video is obvious. Movement looks good.

The video doesn't really show much "gameplay" though. It's to be expected from a pre-alpha product, but I'm not feeling the same level of excitement out of it that others are.

Guess I misunderstood what he meant in this thread: https://forums.galciv3.com/452505/page/1/#3450292 I thought he was saying we wouldn't submit them until the summer.
