). Add couple more months - here comes 50% off. 9 months passed - welcome 75% off or more. Could be 66%, if publisher is greedy. Within year game lose basic price.
Fairly normal practice - you want sales, then make it cheaper, to be more attractive for less dedicated people and/or those in doubt.
