Any word on Hot Seat?
I've been holding out on purchasing a founder pack until I hear a final world on my make or break feature, hot seat multiplayer. Has there been any new revelations as to its inclusion? Thanks.

I wish there would be hotseat. This would really make a difference on game play. Last I heard is there not planning to implement it. So sad!!! This wouldn't be a deal breaker for me though.
I'm sure it will still be a great game, but lack of hot seat tips my wallet in favor of Age of Wonders III.
Well we are actually talking about the alpha and beta. I'm sure I will see you when the game comes out.
I would prefer hot seat multiplayer implemented instead of playing over an internet connection, but oh well. Not a deal breaker for me either.
They had mentioned in the FAQ that they wanted to implement it, but then they quietly pulled that line from the FAQ and, as quoted above, suddenly said that there were no plans to implement it.
So, yeah, not really impressed with that move.
I love the hot seat feature of Civ V. It would be awesome to see it in GalCiv3
I was visiting my best friend last week and we both went looking for a good hot seat game. Hopefully it's something they can do in an expansion, given the game already supports MP.
Found anything beside HoMM3?:)
Spawn copy a-la Diablo 1?
Actually we got an older computer working and just wound up playing Diablo 3. With the new patch it's a much more fun game than it used to be.
Spawn copies aren't the same thing because they still require two computers, but that would be nice.
Why you need older computer for D3?
I guess most of us already have 2 PCs, or at least one PC and one laptop, so it's better than nothing.
Because there was two of us. The older computer was the second one.
That's a decreasing truth, as the PC is being supplanted at a fast rate by tablets. The number of multi PC homes is going down, along with the sales volume in the PC market.
What you're seeing more of now is a house with one PC and then everybody having their own tablet or phone.
Ah, I thought you were looking for old one especially, like I did earlier, before GoG, when I wanted to play old games. ![]()

Yes, tablets are actively advancing, pushing laptops from "second PC" area, yet sooner or later you'll have to upgrade your old PC, and unless you're geeky and have supply of spare parts, you probably will buy second, fully assembled PC. Profit. ![]()
I am geeky; my spare parts are not as good as my desktops or laptops.
1. You have spare parts.
2. You have desktops.
3. I'm not geek, but my previous PC, while not super-powerful, could handle most modern games - thanks to multiplatform.
So I think problem is overrated, really. Though I vote for hot-seat, or at least spawn-copy. In case no Internet would be available.
this might sound dumb, but what is hot seat? it is different than playing someone over the internet/lan?
Players play at same PC, changing their turns, and their seat, hence the name. Old form of multiplayer. It's like when you kid and you have toy your friend doesn't have and share it and play in turn, one at a time. ![]()
ah, that makes since! didn't even think about that. thanks!
they probably want to sell more games and are hoping 2 people can just hook up via ethernet to two in home computers and play that way maybe?
There is bluetooth PAN, Use Hamachi to make your own LAN or connect directly by Ether or HDMI.
My thing in PBEM because of the time dif of having players all around the world. Along with trying to get the same people to meet at the same time every week.
Never mind. Already answered.
I have a friend who wouldn't take the time to hook an internet connection, but would be willing to play a two or three player game of hot seat.
