Yes, the first of these was the one that hooked me. I had never heard of GalCiv II before reading them, and pretty much immediately bought the game after finishing. As did my flatmate. We then spent the next few weeks yelling to each other about our progress in our respective games and showing off our own ludicrous ship designs.
