Founder's Edition Question

Hi everyone,

Sorry to ask this if it has but I have a question on the founder's edition. I know you can pre order it but it sends me to Stardock.com. My question is will this purchase carry over to Steam once the full game comes out? I think it did that for the latest Sins of a Solar Empire but I can't remember.

It'll be Steam by default. Stardock lacks the means at this time to fight Steam. If they want multiplayer and other online features, their best way to go about adding those to the game is to use Steam and Steamworks. Alternatives cost time and money (and lots of it).

From what I understand, when the alpha begins, you will be sent your Steam keys. Not a nano second sooner.

Yep. You buy it on Stardock.com, and when it's available they send you a Steam code.
