New UK PCgamer article.

Not much new apart from a new race that looks like a green Batarian and a new faction called the Iridium Corp that sounds like a sophisticated Korx. The designer has no experience and is scared about messing up which worries me as it looks like they played it safe because the galaxy screenshot looks just like GC2 in hexes. The mechanics seem the same.

Nothing about space combat other than Hexes balance it. Maybe they are going for the CIV5 style with some units have 2 hex range etc.

GC2 with better graphics?

They need to start coming up with ideas that the other series cannot do.

For example Multi universes that can be traveled through wormholes or perhaps linking 2 single player universe and transforming single player to multiplayer.

Other then that, I really hope they start making some revolutionary changes that make the game great, otherwise we end up with GCII with better graphics.

New race that looks like a green batarian? Iridian corp? where do you get this stuff? Or are you just trolling?

Is it the same as the media image on the game page? Haven't seen it confirmed by Stardock but it's most likely a screenshot from an early alpha.

That's just artwork, it's not actually from the game. Lots of companies set up "fake" screenshots to give a general impression of what a game will be like

Likely - OP also started the "Tactical Combat" thread.

For the most part the concepts of the game works. Another thing that gives the game an advantage it that it is turn based. As long as the rest of the world is going to real time strategy galactic civilizations has a game of its own on that level. Its either that galactic civilizations is better at customization than everyone else, or no one bothers to customize the way they do. If there is as good customization it is not on this kind of game. Customizing races. Options that lets u decide what your species can do. There are a lot of them. Different tech trees for different races. Unlike Sins of a solar empire different techs from different trees actually worked different. These r the reasons why I wont let this game go. The game has excellent modding capability. This is probably why that kind of concept is going to work.

It's not showing up in Google searches, so until you provide any sort of evidence (the link to the article that should have been in the topic post), we have to assume you're just making shit up.

Internet etiquette generally supposes someone provide a link or at least quotes from a source like this when posting. Since you did not and the information is not readily available, we're calling shenanigans.

I think Ashbery76 is referring to something in dead tree format (paper). As such this information might not exist on the net. Some magazines and other news businesses like keeping information exclusive.

Still, I agree that the OP didn't follow internet etiquette. There is a minimum amount of information that one should provide if you start a internet forum thread (like links to sources of relevant information if possible). For instance, I'm not really sure if this thread is about GalCiv 3, or if it was placed into the wrong forum folder (I'm seeing this in the GalCiv 3 folder right now).
