Stained glass ship

I love and hate the look of this ship. It looks fragile, like it's made of stained glass. I havent played GalCiv2 for a while I believe thats a Drengin ship based on the colors. I donno it looks cool but kinda bothers me too. Anyone else think the same thing. I'm having a hard time narrowing down what is bothering me.

It is a nice design overall but its too clean and perfect. Some dust/dirt and imperfections are needed. It would be good if the look of a ship changed over time to reflect its age. If you have had a ship hanging about from the start of the game it should look a little worn out by the end.

Ah I think that's it. Also the blue on the side I think is one too many colors.

It looks like one of the terran Cargo models to me.  I personally don't think it looks fragile,  more like some tan colored metal.

Does not look Drengin to me, if someone had shown it to me without any context, I would have said it was a space cruise ship.

Also, the thick outlines made me think it was from Borderlands instead.

I'll be honest it's growing on me. Part of me likes the more cartoony style of the Kumquat engine. It's refreshing verses the grittyness that is out there these days. I'm willing to bet that you can turn off the outlines. You can in legendary heroes.

The outlines dont worry me, I could disable them in Borderlands by editing some files.

Its just that it does not look like a warship. The middle hole even reminds me of how cruises also have the cabins like that around the promenade.

It looks vaguely Lantean to me. :)

That looks like concept art, not an actual screenshot. Assuming that design appears in the game, I suspect it will look different.

Mind you, I don't actually have a problem with it.

Ah. Yes, having a fixed idea of what a warship should look like can be quite jolting when you see what someone else thinks a warship looks like. Just accept it as being one of those "eye of the beholder" things.
