Gonna get it sometime next week. Star will be called Volteau (narcissistical, I know).

I thought about the 99$ founders, but the little asterisk broke my heart when I learned that no way would "Xiasdick" would ever be a star.

I'm also assuming that they won't allow any star names that might violate copyrights from other works, like Winterfell, Skywalker, Mordor, etc. That could lead to some additional time for the names to be vetted by Stardock.

I was also wondering how likely it will be that I'll actually get to see my star (name still TBD) in a game. I guess that depends on how many founder-named stars are allowed in each size galaxy and how many elite founders there end up being. Seems like I might have to play a lot of games to find my star. Even then I supposed it might not have a habitable planet for me to fight over. That all may be for the best though because I'm sure that in any game with my star, my strategy will be totally unsound due to my overwhelming desire to colonize that system and make it the hub of my empire.

It's not bad, I just think there are millions of people that would want to live near "Xiasdick".

Terror Stars probably won't be in the base game, according to Frogboy.

I'm gonna have to give some thought to mine.  I've got a few ideas kicking around.

Now that the utter joy at the announcement has faded a bit, the realization that I have to wait months for even an Alpha to drop is starting to set in...

Very much looking forward to ALPHA then BETA then RC1 then Release, then XPACS.. yep.. going be rolling GC3 for awhile.

I hope this badge will appear on the Steam account as well, to proudly show it to their community. They have also badges over-there but this one... has real value in it for Me.

How do we get the founder's badge? I got the $99 one and don't have the tag (at least I didn't last night, I hope it doesn't appear after I post this...)

"Star names subject to Stardock approval; no vulgar or inappropriate names allowed." Having read the other day about "Fort Gay" issue in XBOX, I wonder if Stardock will find many "challenging" ones.
