What happened to Global Warming?

What happened to Global Warming?

What happened to Global Warming?

When I put my first above ground pool in around the late 90's we were able to open it in April and start swimming in May.

Now my pool is just opened and still not warm enough to swim in :(

I'd like some global warming back...

And I thought name calling wasn't the done thing 'round these 'ere parts.

I mean, what did 2500 ever do to you... that you'd call it an effer like that? :-"

Well 2500 beat up 2499 and 2499 beat up 2498. It really is a viscous cycle of revenge. Lol

#2500 is about as equally cerebral as all the other comments....;p

Just not as funny and/or laughable.

I don't believe in this greenhouse effect thing anyway. If it such a major issue wouldn't they just ban greenhouses?

Nah, they won't ban greenhouses completely.... they'll just allow those without glass. :-"

Perhaps it is not houses that are the problem... maybe it is the color green. Therefore, ban green!

And while they're at it, I don't like the colour yellow that much.

Come to think of it, I don't like brown much, either. :-"

I'm not a fan of yellow either, too bright any shiny for my tastes.

Counterpoint makes waaaay more sense and is more believable... if only more people would pull their heads of of their proverbial arses to see that the other argument is solely a grab for more of our money by greedy governments and corporations.

In your opinion... ;)

That's the problem with this whole thread and elsewhere. All you have is opinion (not fact) from people with no qualifications in the subject.

It is entertaining though, to see people twist and turn in trying to produce a favourable argument to support their views; manipulating and massaging information as they see fit.

We either have many budding politicians or a cesspit of brain dead half-wits.

Not sure there's a difference...

Brain dead half-wit, here, broadcasting from the local cesspit.

So.  Could it be...  that AGW is a good thing?

Think of all the billions in damage avoided.  Al hasn't had much to say about that.  Food for thought.

That;s the thing, the so-called GW experts have qualifications - of sorts - but still they fudge figures and results to try prove a theory.  There are, however, people on the other side of the argument who have qualifications, yet the ' GW theorists' keep trying to debunk them without success.

As for my opinion - which I'm entitled to - it is no less valid than yours.  You've listened to the GW theorists and take what they say as gospel, and I've listened to the experts on the other side and find them more believable.  So really, it's not so much my opinion but whom I choose to believe.

Bears repeating:  Climate 'science' is not science at all.  It's speculative number-crunching, glorified video gaming, pseudo-science at best.  If 'models' fail to at least approach reality they are useless, and so far they've failed spectacularly.  'Peer-reviewed' means nothing when hypotheses cannot be tested, let alone falsified.  Could not be a better example of GIGO.

Precisely!!!  It's all theory at best.... and when computer models depend on the operator feeding the 'data', any desired result is possible.   Global warming wasn't an issue until very powerful corporations [and politicians] saw there was money to be made from scaring everyone into thinking the world is melting.... then paying some prominent scientists to verify the claims.

This planet has been through warming and cooling cycles since the Stone Ages and beyond, and 'IF' there's a warming cycle happening now, it is due to natural occurrences.... events that have been happening for millions of years, not since man became industrial.  Don't get me wrong, mankind surely needs to clean up its act, but let's be honest about it and not blame some 'mythical' cause created by the rich and powerful.

If these corporations actually gave a fuck about the planet, why weren't they practicing cleaner, better methods so much sooner than now?  Why do they suddenly give a shit?   One answer to that is the world has more disposable wealth than ever before, and they want as much of it as is possible to claw from us.... hence the "we'll clean up our act but you will have to pay for it... BIG time".

So how do you get the bullshit to grow?  Keep feeding the bull!   Same goes with the global warming theory... keep feeding it and the pile of bullshit will get higher.

Some very interesting information for all the peer-reviewed warmists.

Very interesting reading indeed.

Like I said, global warming is a profit-driven fallacy based on fudged figures and dodgy computer models.... and this article backs it up.

The internet is an amazing place....I'm sure you will find an article "that backs it up" that the earth is flat....or certainly that the world was created 5000 years ago....

....that a sneeze is the ejaculation of your inner satan....

...whatever floats your boat.....;p

True, but the GW fallacy has less probability than rocking horse shit, so I'm going with the alternative version that makes better sense.

Ya know, being rude and insulting will not change the reality I believe.

Nor will it sway me to think your way.
