DesktopX Speech Recognition

I have been tryng to make a desktopX object that, through VB, can recognize what you are saying (for example, "Start Internet Explorer") and the computer will do what you say (ie run IEXPLORE.EXE). I know more VB than the average Joe, but still I'll admit that I don't have superb VB skills. I've downloaded the Microsoft Speech SDK, and found a code example of someone trying to do the same thing as me in VB (http://www.martin2k.co.uk/vb6/tips/q3.php scroll down until you see a post by someone named Michael), but I can't get it to work. If someone wants to do this themsleves, feel free to because I can't figure out how to get it to work.

But you have a very good idea. I'm downloading the SDK now. Trying it out with the Active X controls. I'll see what I can do with this. Wow, it says it'll take 5 minutes to download! OMG, it's 142 MBs. WOW.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!! I have tried all of the VB DirectSR tutorials I can find. I cant even get them to work in VB 6, much less DesktopX. I give up, for now. I found another sort-of-decent tutorial that you might want to look at if you are up to it. http://www.vbip.com/miscellaneous/Speech-Recognition.asp
One obvious problem I noticed was the author attempts to identify his command1 button as command3 somewhere down the line. Anyhoo, if anyone feels like trying this, I wish you luck.
