wrong serial number? happens alot within impulse

Hi,

So i last bought s.t.a.l.k.e.r - Call of Pripyat, installation went fine and all, but then i had to register it and here comes the problem. i received a 4 x 4 serial number ****-****-****-**** while i appearently need a 5 x 5 serial number *****-*****-*****-*****-*****.

so where can i email impulse or complaint to them that i got the wrong serial number?

Happens a lot? Do you get this from your own experiences? I havent experienced this, nor heard about it on this forum.

For my games, Impulse usually automatically registers them. I never even see a screen to enter a serial number.

I think the complaints I have seen are usually related to "my serial fell out of the box". They're not that common from what I've seen, even though the people who do have them are incredibly vocal about it (and honestly, rightly so).

 

All that said, a quick email to [email protected] usually fixes things up.  I'd trust Gargabee's link to the support site will be just as fast or faster, since he's, you know, a support guy.

It really depends on the game and the activation scheme used. This particular game uses a separate activation key which differs from the serial that is listed within Impulse. At the moment, using the support link I put in the last post is the only way to obtain this activation key.

I had the the same problem in activating S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat Loyalty Edition as (By sollit_dude Posted May 18, 2010 12:09:41 AM). The acivation key was not included in my confirmation of purchase email for the product. Thanks for the link. Problem solved

Sending the email I receive contains this:

Product Name : S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat Activation Key
User Name     :
Download       : Enter this key when pompted the first time you run the game.

As you can see, it doesn't contain the key required to register the game. Is there any method I can follow that will actually tell me the xrEngine registration key?

Email [email protected] and they should be able to help if the automated registration isn't working.

Well these issues come up now and again. I don't know if its more prevalent for this service than others. The other forums (Steam, D2D, Gamgersgate), aren't as consolidated as these are.  I give leeway though for those who run into this on the weekend which prolongs the help process... a lot.

Don't know anything about your particular problem but STALKER:COP is a great game. Make sure to try out some mods with it to make it more fun and challenging. I found it a lot easier than ShOC but that is a good thing.
