Is this taskbar workable?

I have tried, but to no avail. Is it because it can't be done?

All I get are the tab(s) multiple times, under each quick launch icon. I really need help with this.

EDIT* I making this in Vista

Try this for the expander and arrow: do the tray with the cut out section in it. Then make the arrow image itself blank.

Let me think about your other issue

Ok same with the quicklaunch: draw the taskbar with the cut out in it (allow for the width of your startbutton image) and leave the quicklaunch buttons a blank canvas.

It's my fault if this is gonna be a pain in the ass, so I apologize now.

I'm not sure what you mean.

If you need images to show me, email me.

All my spare time is going into this and I have to get it done. I'll share credit with everyone who helps.

Recieved the skin today, Po.

I have got your startbutton working like (I think) you want it, but I hope you are available to IM sometime today. I did some carefull tweaking of your startpanel (IE fixed a couple of margins and such)

this is how it looks

If you want the the first quicklaunch item to be inside the "tab" then you could:

1. lengthen the black area or

2. shorten the startbutton image (less blank canvas to the right of the button) thus pulling the quicklaunch section to the left

No. I didn't want it in the tab at all. I origibally wanted the tab to be under the arrow and all the icons to be over the black only. I realize now after what you showed me, it couldn't work. But I like this. It's waht I was trying to ask you about last night, but my words came out bad. After you fixed my gaf with the taskbar, it hit me how to do the start button. It looks great.

If you get on MSN tonight, I can send it to you and go over it with you. Or should I just mail it to you to study on your own?

I'll be on soon. I put a world clock on my desktop so I don't get you in trouble with the wifey by keeping you up late again. ;P

QUESTION: Do I or should I (probably a mtter of personal preference) add shadows to the frames, etc?  I don't know that I want to and I thought there was a setting in Windowblinds to add shadows.

I have had some huge help from Tim putting it together. I really can't take credit. Hopefully he's getting some sleep now.
