I haven't used a coin-op laundromat since I was around 18 and had just moved out of my parents place.  However, I got sick of having to haul my washing there, having to wait around an hour or so before having to haul it all back home again.  I ended up purchasing a Sanyo twin-tub for about 80 bucks.... a good machine, too, I had it for near on 30 years before I gave it to my daughter to use.  Last I heard it was still going, 40 something years since I purchased it.
