Please. The completely revamped scoring mech has nothing to do with this? I suspect the empires will have to reshuffle. Sadly I don't see GROSS as #1 without Staffa. Pontius our hero is keeping us alive however.

Now firstly, this presumes that Pontius is in fact bigger and more interesting than an antipodean sheep - which is a point of some debate, given he comes from the same country that produced MWC ;)

I must, however, vouch for the chicks at the Galactic Mustang Ranch, who provide a service that takes a man's mind (and body) far away from sheep.....

This is a cry to all hardworking Galactic citizens out there who have no love for pirates or magic users. We here at the Midwestern Confederation have built an empire around the simple hardworking values of the Midwest. We do not resort to trickery or thievery of any kind to achieve our place in the metaverse, we rely solely on cooperation and hard work amongst our members.

While we enjoyed a brief stint upon the top of the metaverse our adversaries at GROSS and the White Council have renewed their drive and have overtaken us in the metaverse. As proud as we were to sit atop this great metaverse, ruling with our simple and fair values, we are equally distraught at the rise to power of such evil and magic in the metaverse. After all, what are pirates without the us simple folk upon which they prey mercilessly. And what was created by magic was just as quickly undone by magic in the past in the White Council. Yet what we do and have done by our sweat, blood and tears will not be undone so easily! So think hard citizen, when it comes time for you to join an empire, where will your loyalties lie.....with the backstabbing ways of the pirates at GROSS, the whimsical ways of the White Council or the steadfast proud hardworking ways of the Midwest Confederation. Only through your hard work shall we collectively become strong again!

So you are proud, honest, hard working folks who are still getting owned? ;) And, I do declare, GROSS does not need to backstab. We tell you what we are going to do to make the victim suffer some more. Sometimes knowing your fate is worse than the fate itself. We need no missile silo to hide in, we have no secrets to keep. So when you want to come out of that hole in the ground and play, we'll be ready.

But, in the meantime, I am still aware that the MWC is a bunch of disciplined conquerors that need to be respected and not underestimated. I got my eye on you folks.

Ahh vile Gerrakken, while you may be one of the more soft spoken and neutral members of your pirate empire that does not make you any less the villain. At this time you may not need anywhere to hide as you are at the peak of your power but know this, there will come a time when the righteous citizens of the metaverse will rise up against you and your pirate brigade will be forced to "lighten the load" and make a swift getaway. I can only hope that this silent majority of righteous hardworking galactic citizens will realize their collective power and join us at the MWC to put you evil doers in your place. We shall cower in our silos no more, but the missiles that dwell within shall remain ever so poised to strike as always.

Yes the mighty have fallen......while our reign at the top of the metaverse was brief it has left a bittersweet aftertaste in my and I'm sure many fellow MWC'ers mouths. Yet in our weakest moment we are at our strongest, for I for one will not go quietly.

We were built by those who came to us in search of cooperation and encouragement to help become better at dominating the alien races.
