Miricla & Tinted: WIP

His 'n Hers Blinds

I recently began work on a new WindowBlind I am calling 'Miricla.' This is a skin that I am making specifically for my wife, Brysgirl. She has not been able to find that 'perfect skin' yet, so I am creating it for her.

It is primarily blue in color and quite glassy. I chose the blue color because I just couldn't bring myself to work with pink. This skin is a recolorers dream, and looks good however you set the color slider in the config settings.

When I complete Miricla, I will begin work on 'Tinted,' which will be essentially identical in most ways to Miricla, just with dark glass rather than blue. Also, the Tinted WB will be made to match the ObjectDock backgrounds I have already created of the same name.

Brian, is it your intention that the frames are more tran sparent than the start panel and taskbar?;)

Looking really cool Brian!

These skins are one of the reasons I have dropped my own "His and Hers" project.

Don't feel bad, Brian.........these look fantastic!

I appreciate your kind comments, but I do feel bad that I unintentionally stifled your project. 8C

WOW Mirsguy! You keep amazing us with your wonderful work. This is truly beautiful!

I just have a little thing to add: I'm not a very big fan of the start button animation so could you please make a substyle with no start button animation or could you improve the animation so that it would look more continously?

This is gonna become a long time resident on my desktop, Brian.

I hope y'all end up liking it as much as I do! :D

The animation looks fluid to me. What do you mean?

I mean the animation starts very well but at the end it stops for a second and then it begins again. It looks like it's made of multiple broken frames.

Open the skin in SkinStudio. Go to the taskbar section, then to the start button. Go to the animation tab. Take a screen shot and post it so I can see what it's programmed to do.

Really, the programming should be the same as on my end, but I think this is a good place to start.

I don't think there's someting wrong with my settings, I thing it's just the animation. I don't have any kind of problem with other skin take molten for exemple, it has a continuously animation. Anyway here's the SS.

Here's a screen recorder. Please ignore the windows frame, that's how they look when I record something.

Deea: I wouldn't recommend changing anything on this skin with skinstudio 5. You are very likely to mess up the settings.

I saw your recording. The core animation looks fine. Something else is going on, and I have no idea what it could be. For some reason, it looks like the button "blinks off" for a split second. That is not part of the scripting.

How does the animation in Aqueous compare? The two are very similar.

Just had a thought:

Which version of wB are you running?

The Aqueous animation has the same problem. I'm using WB 6.4. Strange thing it's that all others skins work properly.

I noticed when I was doing the ZubaZ WB a similliar thing happened with the startbutton animation. On the xp substyle, the animation would "jump/flicker" at the end of the sequence before looping back.

If I remember correctly I set it to loop back to the frame after the start frame. IE if your frame animation starts at frame 7, set it to loop back to frame 8.It sounds wrong but it worked.

Worth a try anyway.

Indeed. I'll give this a try tonight. Thanks for the input!

The other thing that confuses me is that my Wife's machine is XP running WB 6.4, and she does not have this problem with either Miricla or Aqueous. :S
