Itemless Balancing

I believe the one of the best ways to balance the different Demigods is to play the game without any Items, forcing all play to be predicated upon Demigod abilities only. With Generals, some accommodation or exception would need to be made to allow for their Idol Minions.

Sorry I never posted this much earlier - been meaning to, just never could remember.

(a counter-argument might be that Item purchases are too ingrained in the game to do without them... could be valid)

Maybe, but I think balancing with items is simpley more pratical/realistic. But I see where your coming from, you could really concentrate more on JUST Demigod without any items.

But then again, TB would suck ass as he would have no mana regen items (and so would other DG's who are mana dependant  - Sedna, QoT etc.). But we all know in the real game he is too OP. Just too many things would completely change and OP builds would become useless and the more underpowered Demigods maybe be the ones who actually come out as the strongest, which in reality isnt true. I think this shows that balancing with items is probably better than balancing without...just my opinion.
