How to Re-gain Lost Acheivements?

I had to format my PC recently and I lost all my acheivements. Worse, I had just finished a Go Big or Go Home game, so I lost that acheivement as soon as I got it.

How do I get my acheivements back?

Also, my Local Settings/Application Data folder is missing. When I take a screenshot, it says it has saved it to that folder, but it is not in My Documents or my C drive.

Since you reformatted, it's probably set on the default hide hidden folders, so since Application Data is hidden you can't see it. Enable show hidden in Explorer options and you'll find it. In that path is the Setting folder that has the achievement file. It basically has a name of the achievement and a TRUE/FALSE setting to mark completion. You can edit that file if you remember which achievements you've had before reformatting.

My PC froze on startup. I couldn't backup the data that I had because I could not log on. Its fine now though.
