I think it would be helpful if there was an easy way to distinguish between Active and Passive skills when choosing them. Maybe a little highlighted text saying ACTIVE or PASSIVE in the ability's description.
Another simple, yet extremely helpful and necessary suggestion. I'd really like a specific border for passive/active abilities (Perhaps gold for active, silver or black for passive?) or some very obvious way of telling which is which; so obvious you could tell without even reading the ability or really doing more than glancing at the icon.
Actives should be a square icon like on your skill bar.
The passives should be round like they are now.
I would like to see the passives show up like buffs for instance, maybe above the character selection, that way, in the case of the torchbearer, you can see which ones are active or important to his form (fire/ice).
