Advent Siege Price Not Decreased in 1.04?

The changelog for 1.04 claims that all siege prices have been reduced by about 15%, but this is not the case for advent siege... was it meant to be that way?

And apparently drone hosts cost more?  Bah these should have been listed in the preview changelog =P

I've heard the advent sieges cost 14 supply instead of 15, but that's not extremely helpful, either.

I haven't tried out the TEC yet but the Vasari Destructors are down to 14 too.

So if that's the buff meant to offset the price, the Advent didn't really come out ahead on that front.

Nope no siege unit cost decrease for advent. Who knows why, the same can be said for the drone host cost increase. It really doesn't bother me, though it would be nice if explanations were given for these type of changes. Because they seem rather erratic.

The siege must of just been an oversight.

Advent having to pay more for siege frigs would make no sense seeing as how they have the worst siege cap.
That's not to say siege frigs are ever worht it.

What's it matter what they cost? They could cost 2x. You aren't going to build tec or vasari's 15% reduced cost ones anyways so I don't understand all teh threads on this. It's not like they where hardly worth their cost in 1.02 either, let alone now.

i find a couple siege quite useful for rounding out a nice roid raid party

You're wrong, though.

I find a few capital ships quite useful for replacing siege.

If it's not an oversight, I suspect the reason is because the Advent have a research line devoted specifically to bombardment damage.

If they reduced supply cost from 15 to 14, then I suspect they calculated wrongly. They said they will reduce cost by 15%, so that would mean from 15 to 13 (assuming they meant only supply cost).

Anyway, I disagree with siege being useless. They help making the game shorter if you win, but the opponent doesen't surrender. Obviously money isn't an issue anymore at that point.

Whether the devs intended for siege to have only that purpose is anyones guess though. Considering how great 1.04 is as a whole, I don't really care much about the siege changes anyway.
