For Devs: Please TELL us if you are going to NERF RA.

This is to the DEVS, because I don't believe they've actually commented on a NERF RA post yet. PLEASE, post on mine.

My mates and I have stopped playing because of RA, and it hurts me, because i love this game, and they've gone back to bloody Rise of nations. Everyday I come back waiting for a changelog saying

"- Reduced ability to have more than one phasegate per planet"

Please guys, just tell me if your going to do it or not, alot of people have just assumed that because it was not taken out (and it would be an easy fix) you guys actually think its balanced.

I know there is a few people out there saying "oh screw you guys, its so balanaced lol!!111" but I honestly reckon they are either super-players, who dominate because they hotkey everything, or Vasari players themselves who love stats. I play casual, alot of other guys here do to.. and in all honesty... It seems to ruin our games... It really does...

At least, at LEAST, change the vote on the main page to the question about Vasari's RA, so you can get some imput into it from more of the public who couldn't be arsed joining the forums.

I'd love for Ironclad as well to make some kind of statement about Returning Armada, leaving the issue unanswered will only further degrade the threads on the matter into flame wars. Even if Ironclad for reasons inconceivable to me (but that's just me) decides against tweaking RA, I would prefer to hear about sooner, rather than later.

To everyone else, please don't turn this into a flame war. Be civil.

It would be excellent to hear from the developers on this. Balancing RA without making it useless might be difficult, but it would be very reassuring to know that the problem was at least acknowledged. If someone (Huntingx? Jinx?) has some RA replays to share, maybe this would be a good thread to post them.

ra stands for returning armada, nerfing is a specialized method of coating it with a foam substance so that it doesn't hurt so bad when you get hit with it..

for serious, what they are asking for is that the devs make it so that ra will no longer summon ships beyond the fleet capacity, and that it not be possible to jam the entire defense(?) civil(?) capacity in one system full of the gates that the armada appear at

Returning Armada has been re-balanced. No firm details yet, but I can report that the exploit where you could exceed your available fleet points has been fixed.

"Nerf" would mean to weaken an ability, usually to bring it back in line with game balance.

Crazy idea I know.

I play the Vasari pretty much exclusively, and I never research or use Returning Armada.

Guess what? This game is still fun? Just because a super weapon is there doesn't mean someone has a gun to your head making you use it.

But he was citing he and his close friends all quitting because of it. Methinks it would be pretty easy to say "Steve, Bob, let's all agree to not use RA or other super weapons'.

Woah woah woah.. man lets not get things out of context... I love this game, but because say a mate of mine can't hack it, he changed to a game that he "knows" is balanced, which sucks for all of us. you know?

I like to play online with my friends on a team against other teams. It's easy to not use RA in friendly games but you can't control what strangers online will do.
