Are you all freaking sheep?

Massive bug overlooked in 1.03

why, why, WHY is NOBODY on these damn forums talking about multiplayer placement! It is the #1 PROBLEM with multiplayer right now and was NOT I repeat NOT fixed in 1.03! The placement is totally RANDOM regardless of the map you play on and settings you choose. Allies DO NOT necessarily start next to each other. For example in a 2v2v2 game one team might start right next to each other and the other two spread out across the solar system!

This is such an easy freaking fix I am completely boggled that developers who could make such a great game could overlook such a huge bug for so long! I am even more amazed by the retards in this forum who aren't voicing the issue to the developers! Are you freaking douches just playing singleplayer or 1v1s? Or are you just that god damn daft. I think the latter is most likely the case. This fantastic game is UNPLAYABLE in games larger than 2v2 because of this vast inequality in ally placements. Sometimes your team might be spread out randomly between multiple star systems and the other team all together in one solar system!

STOP ACTING LIKE SHEEP AND GET THE DEVS TO FIX THIS.

there are NO maps that place allies next to each other automatically. You can BY CHANCE get placed next to your ally, but that is the EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.

He isn't.

But I am.

i dont even see this as a problem. having a enemy next to you is something that happens in the game.

Sorry that the devs have not added a fixed player position to the options yet. but whining like a little bitch about it clearly from the above posts is not making it any better.

Talk like an adult and maybe what you want changed might be taken into consideration.

how about the fact that no satr system would have that many planets. how unrealistic give each group of planets their own star. bogus

Well, Rhedd, I think that you would know if you were a douche.

You would be well versed with female anatomy.

It's on a map to map basis. Certain maps are designed specifically for certain players to start next to each other. Im not sure if its positioning based on what slot you're in or team based, but they do exist.

Hmm actually no map has fixed starting positions, it´s entirely random, even tho in the map editor you will see teams placed together, in practice it doesn´t quite work out that way.. try starting some games with 7 AI´s on for example twin empires and group them up in 4 teams, then restart 10 or so times, you might get your ally in the correct position once.

It is an issue..

If you start next to an enemy, and others on your team don't... take advantage of the situation, have them send you resources and stomp the enemy. GG.

razor edge and anwil are one's iirc

Well, i don't think that random starting placement is that much of an issue... simple commission a mod and skip the developers completely. It might actually mack e the whole process go faster.

Omg you guys aren't voicing your opinions for what I believe in....you guys are all sheep!

Heh, ever see Star Trek: Generations ? For some reason, "For your sake, I hope you were initiating a mating ritual.", comes to mind, lol!

Don´t have time to test out all maps atm but figured I would check foreign invasion then, and it doesn´t have fixed starting locations in 2v2v2 at least

2 teams start close together with players from the 3rd team split far and between the other 2 teams, occasionally anyway, due to it being random and all

quick edit: if it is in fact possible for them to make maps fixed as it is, it's really weird a potentially great 2v2v2v2 map like twin empires doesn't have this set :(
